The final price may be lower or higher after inspection if the cause of the problem is different or additional issues are found. We’ll explain the issue and confirm the final quote before you decide whether to proceed.

A basic assessment that does not require opening your device is free.

If the device needs to be opened for diagnosis, an inspection and reassembly fee of AUD $30–$80 applies, depending on the device and work required. We’ll confirm the fee before opening your device.

If you approve the repair, the inspection fee is not charged separately. If you decide not to proceed after the device has been opened and inspected, the confirmed fee will still apply.

We recommend backing up your device before any repair. Most common repairs do not normally affect stored data, but data loss can occur in some circumstances, particularly with motherboard or storage-related faults. We’ll explain any known risks before the repair begins.

We generally do not need your passcode to carry out the physical repair. After the repair, you can unlock the device in store while our team completes the required function tests.

The parts used depend on the device and repair required.

For iPhone repairs, we generally use compatible replacement parts rather than Apple-original parts. For Samsung screen repairs, we use genuine Samsung screens. We’ll explain the applicable part before you approve the repair.

Replacement parts installed by T SHINE include a 3-month warranty from the date you collect your repaired device. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse or liquid damage.

You may visit any T SHINE store for assessment. If we confirm that the issue is caused by a covered replacement part, we’ll replace that part free of charge and no inspection fee will apply.

If the issue is unrelated to the covered part, an inspection fee may apply. We’ll explain any applicable fee before opening the device.

A part replaced under warranty remains covered only until the original warranty expiry date. The 3-month period does not restart following a warranty replacement.

This warranty is provided in addition to any rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
